About the speakers

Dr. Manman YANG obtained a doctoral degree in law from the University of Macau with particular interest in medical law. She is currently Lecturer at West Anhui University, Anhui, China and secretary of the Academic Committee of the Faculty of Law. She teaches Civil Law, Contract Law, Tort Law. She is also Lawyer of Anhui Yingrui Legal Firm

Manman is principal investigator of a research project on the liability of telemedicine damage in China (2023-2026).  She presented “Research on the China Liability of Telemedicine Malpractice” remote at 2023 Australasian College of Legal Medicine Annual Scientific Meeting on Law& Regulation of Healthcare.

Dr. Meng Teng IONG obtained his doctoral degree in law from University of Minho, Portugal. He is currently Assistant Professor of Faculty of Law, University of Macau and programme coordinator of Master of Law in Macau law and practice. His research interest areas are Health Law, Medical Malpractice, Patient Safety and Patient Rights, AI Ethics, and Private Law.

Men Teng is currently a collaborating researcher at Research Centre for Justice and Governance, Law School, University of Minho, Portugal. He worked as Legal Advisor of Health Bureau of Macau.  He has published in different international journals and presentation in international conferences. He received award of the Incentive Scheme for Outstanding Academic Staff in Research of Faculty of Law, University of Macau.

Dr. Lester LLOYD VINZ C. NGO, M.D. He obtained Doctor of Medicine from College of Medicine, University of the Philippines and completed Paediatrics Residency at Department of Paediatrics, University of the Philippines Manila – Philippine General Hospital. He is currently Pediatrician, University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital.

Lester’s research interest areas are developmental paediatrics, public health, bioethics and medical law. He is principal Investigator of project, “Development of a locally designed questionnaire to determine the capability of the paediatric population to actively participate in the assent process based on the relevant domains and factors in the Philippines”.  He received the Young Scientist Award from the 28th World Congress of Medical Law of the World Association of Medical Law at Batam Island, Indonesia.
