About Newsletter
According to the WAML Bylaw, one of the purposes of the Association is to publish a journal, periodical newsletters and disseminate information (Article 2, iv). The Newsletter has to be published electronically four times yearly: March, June, September and December.
The WAML Newsletter is an official publication. It contains short articles on some medico-legal and ethical issues in the country of one of the Governors or beyond, as curatedby a Guest Editor at the discretion of that Governor. It also contains reports by four members of the Executive Committee, the Administration and the Chairman of the next Congress. It also contains pictures from each annual Congress with reports from that Congress. It has an informative role for the Association and the general public.
Members of Newsletter Committee are: Hajrija Mujovic, Chair, Anne-Marie Duguet, Olaolu Osanyin, Thierry Vansweevelt, ex-officio, Vugar Mammadov, ex-officio.
THE NEWSLETTER
PRODUCTION PROCEDURE:
1. Newsletter format. It should be brief news, current organization, activities, concepts or approach. It should NOT be a scientific paper.
2. Suggested word size is 800 to 1,000 words. (One page to no more than one and half printed pages).
3. No references such as footnotes will be included
4. Contributor’s name(s), affiliation (brief)
5. Contributor’s portrait type photograph
6. Guest Editor (Issue Editor) will submit the articles to WAML.
7. Issue Editor determines the sequence of the articles to appear in the issue, but the first article should be the Guest Editor’s page, and then 4-5 articles.

PRODUCTION SCHEDULE:
1. Issue Editor should begin early and solicit suitable articles for the Newsletter. Issue Editor should contact Denise McNally early to coordinate the production, and outline the contents of the newsletter, so that she will be aware of which articles to be expecting. Issue editor may continue to collect articles if more are needed to complete the issue, but it is advisable for the Issue Editor to coordinate the production.
